DS started singing a "clean up" song last night. I'm sure he learned it at daycare but I have no idea what the words are. He doesn't go back to daycare until tomorrow. I could ask them then but figured someone here probably knows the words to the song.
He repeats clean up a few times than says something that sounds like buddy?
Re: Clean up song?
It goes:
clean up, clean up
Everybody, everywhere
clean up, clean up
Everybody do your share
Ours is
Clean up, clean up
Everybody clean up
Clean up, clean up
Everybody help
Same with my DS. He first learned it from his speech therapist, but I think they also sing it at his DC.
Ah, thank you. "Buddy" must be "everybody." That makes more sense.
I'll check with DCP to see which version they sing & then maybe we can use it at home, too.
my son's speech therapist taught us that when he was 1 1/2 and it was seriously the best idea ever. Both my kids love to pick up their toys because of it. One of the few repetitive things that doesn't annoy me. LOL
We sing this as we clean up, and try to get Grace is help. I think they also do it at daycare.
This is the one we use too, we learned it at the local baby/toddler drop in group. If we start singing it DD will come running to join in the singing and putting toys away - it is the best song EVER!
we sing this one. so cute!
Yep, this is what we started teaching DD. Except our DCP doesn't sing this song and says tidy up instead of clean up, so we've given up on the song. Now if DD decides she's done playing she runs around picking up her toys yelling "Tie-ee uh".

I know this song from when my niece was younger.
I sing it to try to get H to clean with me. It doesn't work.
This is one I use, along with the one we use in Kindermusik which is "Instruments away, instruments away, it's time to put our instruments away" except I obviously substitute what we're cleaning up (books away, crayons away, whatever).
