Projectile poop?

When I'm changing DD if she has to sneeze or cough or anything, she has projectile poop. Like shoots out all over my arm, the blanket, changing pad, anything within about a foot. Is this normal for a breast fed baby or should I look into allergies? She never seems uncomfortable to me but the poops seem unusual.

Re: Projectile poop?

  • My DD does this constantly, I think it's just the brute force and terrible timing when I'm changing her. I chalked it up to her pushing like she means it, being that its still a new process for her.

  • My DD does this every time she poops. Even with a diaper on you can hear and feel it lol. Totally normal.

  • Verrryyy normal for all babies. It makes changing diapers feel like I'm diffusing a bomb. I have to work quick and steady, or it'll explode.

  • I've had several disgusting poop-events with my kids over the years. Projectile poop definitely seems to be the norm and I have never worried about it.

  • Awesome. I'm glad it's totally normal! Last night I got it blown all over me during the swoop between the old and new diaper.

You are right pp... It is like diffusing a bomb lol!
