Pajamas!!!

Our Wisconsin nights are getting chilly and this past week my lil guy has been waking up and seems cold--once he's snuggled up and has a little bit of bottle he's back to sleep--for a couple more hours.

My question: how are you layering up your babe for bed?  Are you giving them blankets in the crib?

Re: Pajamas!!!

  • You know I"m kind of wondering the same thing... I just can't get myself to give DD a blanket just yet especially since she's a squirmy worm in there.

So I put a onesie on her and then a thick sleep n play. The temp in her room is 72-74 degrees. She seems to be happy with that.....

  • I've been putting her in fleece sleepers.  I'd give her a blanket, but she kicks it off.

  • I'm not giving DS a blanket yet because he moves around too much.  To that end, I have also found that snap up jammies are a no-go because he is able to wiggle his legs right out of them - which leads to an upset baby in the middle of the night.  He seems most comfy in light zip-up jammies and a fleece sleep sack.
  • A onsie, socks, and fleece footed pjs. I have tried putting a light blanket on him after he's sleeping, but he always kicks it off.

  • Fleece PJs and a sleepsack.  If you're crafty you can make a polar fleece one for super cheap!

  • We used footed fleece PJs and a blanket.  We live in NC though, so we haven't had very cold nights yet.  Once it gets colder, I'll probably put a light onesie on underneath.  His room does get pretty cold (I slept on the spare mattress in there last winter after DS was born, so I should know), so we're considering getting a space heater for night time.

  • I put Ana in long sleeve pjs and throw a blanky over her bottom half. Sometimes she moves but the blanky is always only on her bottom half when she moves.

  • We use a blanket but she always kicks it off. She sleeps in a cotton footed sleeper with no undershirt. She is a heavy sweater.

  • We use a light blanket. It's not cold here yet, she sleeps in onesies right now. When it gets colder I use cotton footed onesies, or fleece when it's really cold.

  • We use fleece footed PJs with a onesie underneath when it gets really cold. DD moves around way too much for a blanket.

  • i put my little girl in a full pj outfit ones with the feet. and she has a favorite blanket well really 2 that she sleeps with. also if i don't want to put her in a footed pi's i just put a small heater in her room keep it low and put the homemade blanket over her. i always go if I'm putting on longer pants on at night then she should too. special if the nights are getting into the 50's.
  • DD tosses and turns really independently throughout the night. When I watch her sleep I've noticed that she is aware of any position she is in that might obstruct her breathing, and she wiggles around some more until she gets comfortable... So on that note, I put warm footed PJ's on her and give her a light blanket to cuddle with (she likes to have it against her cheek while she falls asleep). Within about fifteen minutes it's kicked off, but at least she's cozy when she drifts off. Lol
