How long are you waiting to try again? After AF? After a cycle or 2? It may sound wrong of me but I don't want to wait the full 2 cycles to try again.

DH and I were told 2. And my DR said "you don't plant a tree in bad soil."
I might ask the next chance I get, if she would include this time now waiting for first AF after D&C as 1 of the two cycles. I just hear that woman can be really fertile after a D&C... and well, I'd like to take that opportunity.
I'm going to stop preventing after my first AF. One Dr. told me to wait 2 cycles, another Dr. told me to wait 1.
With my first pregnancy/miscarriage, I had a d&c and was pregnant with my now "perfect" 5 year old 6 weeks later.
(but as I'm sure you've already read on here...you should always talk to your Dr. because everyone is different and us strangers should never advise you on such a thing)
Absolutely no truth in the bolded. You're either fertile or you're not so you can't be "really" fertile after a miscarriage. Every month you have a 20% chance of conceiving so either it'll happen or it won't.
I never advise going against a doctor's order. Ever. But I do understand how much it sucks to wait when all you want is to be pregnant. If you don't agree with your doctor's advice then make sure to question it and don't hesitate to get a second opinion.
It can take some time for the lining of your uterus to return to normal and heal. Chances are, if you get pregnant right away all will be fine but make sure you can live with yourself if you get pregnant right away and then proceed to miscarry. Miscarrying is hard enough without blaming yourself.

BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)
3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!
Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500
First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat
LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270
First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.
JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

DS MENTIONED...
We started this cycle(#2). I have a hard time getting pregnant so I want to start trying now in case it takes a while. DS1 is almost 6 years old and I really don't want them that far apart, so if we don't get pregnant by the time he is 7 or 8, we will stop trying.

lol ive been very MIA. with work, school, sadness, and annoying newbies on TTGP i havent pitched in much. I plan to be more active!

BFP #2: EDD 9/3/13~~Slow HB at 1st U/S~~MMC -Loss on 2/13/13
I was told to wait 2 cycles by my doctor. At first I really didn't want to. I knew I just wanted to be pregnant again right away. However, I knew that if I did get pregnant right away, and if I by chance miscarry again, i'd feel so bad about not waiting (even though it might not be from that, there's a lot of disagreements about waiting or not) I decided I couldn't handle the "what if" and thought the best thing to do is listen to my doctor who knows a lot more than I do.
I know it feels like it'll take forever, but I'm one week away from my second AF and even though day by day feels like it goes so slowly, these 7+ weeks have actually gone by pretty fast.
Talk to your doc and hang in there! I know it can be hard!

It took us 18 months to get the last BFP.
I had the D&E...doc said one cycle and we are good to go. That's our plan.
Now fingers crossed that AF comes sooner rather than later

I had an early, natural MC as well and my doctor told me to wait one cycle. I am going to see her this afternoon, so I am going to ask again and make sure everything is good, but when I went to her last that's what she told me. I got AF yesterday, so I have to decide in the next 2-ish weeks if I'm ready to try again or not. I hope she comes soon for you and km_md!
