DH left for South America yesterday morning (through Wednesday night) and I am already over it. We are doing Ferber for the baby and Saturday night he basically slept through so I had such high hopes....then this morning he thought 5 AM was an appropriate wake up. He can't take a nap until 8:30 (after school drop off) and is already a mess. I hate the 1 step forward, 2 steps back of sleep - I can't wait until I KNOW what he will do every night.

I'm exhausted.

Ellie has been teething and getting a lot more mobile, both of which have ruined sleep as we knew it.

My soft hearted caring mothering side knows its a phase that will pass but OMG I'm farking tired. If DH is a bright man he will let me sleep in tomorrow on his day off I"m bordering on zombie.

L was up every hour last night crying. We think she has gas because after we gave her colic calm she started farting. But then she still kept getting up. Poor baby is exhausted and we are letting her sleep...usually we wake her up at 7 if she's not up because she goes to DC and we both work.

Im working on a project at work and I am really tired plus it's a pain in the asss plus I've been procrastinating.

i bought DH some turkey lunch meat and when I opened it is was all slimy. I threw it out although it didn't smell, it was gross!

We have two cars - a 2007 civic coupe and. 2011 Mercedes GLK. The GLK is my mommy car that we got shortly after bfp since the civic wasn't a good baby mover. Well, dh is the one that takes DS to his parents house while I am at work and he has class.

just recently he said loading the carseat in the civic was a pita, so he now drives the GLK and I am stuck with my old civic.

i am really going to miss the seat Warner's once it gets cooler.

Caroline was up 5-6 times last night. Normally, the swing is our go-to when she can't sleep, but even that didn't work. Her nose is extremely congested, and I'm really hoping we're not on our way to a second cold in one month. When the alarm clock went off at 4:50, I wanted to hide under the covers. Now, I'm sitting at work extremely exhausted and pretty much useless. Our house is a disaster because by the time I get home from work, I don't feel like doing anything except playing with C.

M decided after eating at 8pm then going to bed and asleep by 9pm, to wake at 10.30pm screaming. I sent hubby in and he did everything he could but she would NOT calm down. She was screaming like being tortured. Finally a little after 11pm I just gave in and nursed her. I'm trying NOT to nurse her when she wakes so soon after bed time but I hate to hear her scream.

She then calmed down and fell asleep and didn't wake again until 4am which is not bad. Then she woke at 6 and eagerly ate again which is fine as I had to get up for work anyway.

Again I wonder if she might be really hungry and I just don't have enough milk for her.

Blah. I dislike Mondays they seem so gloomy and long.

DS started fussing before I could write out my pity party, and when I got him back in bed, it was time to leave for work. Now that I've read the other pity parties, I'm not sure mine is worthy.

From the moment I got out of bed yesterday until I got back into bed for the first time last night, I didn't stop working. I had so much housework and school work to get done, and I still didn't get it all done. DH took my car to get new tires, and then was off for the rest of the day. At one point, Micah was fussing, and DH tried to get him to take a nap.... an hour after DS woke up. I told him that he wasn't tired, just lonely. He just wanted to play with someone. DH appologized to Micah, explaining to him that his parent's were being lazy bums instead of playing with him. Oh the look he got.

Ugh, well, I worked a twelve hour day Saturday and an 8 hour day yesterday (I only work every other weekend). I'm exhausted and my students yesterday afternoon wouldn't listen to a word I said, to the point of eating skittles while looking me in the face and saying, "But I'm NOT eating." Anyway, DD has slept through the night the last several nights, but picked last night to wake up three times and then to make us get up for the morning before 6:30. It's still dark outside. Whine....

We moved on Saturday... Athena was amazing all day. Saturday night she wouldn't stop crying and couldn't sit up without screaming. We brought her down the street to the hospital and found out she has a double ear infection - really bad in the right ear. Poor bug. So, now she is on Amoxicillin 4 times a day, her Prilosec 2x a day, and Infant Advil as needed... plus she's a teething monster. Did I mention she has decided she hates medicine and syringes. She screams like nothing I've ever heard. This morning the Amoxicillin went all over her eye. Oh yeah, and I woke up with a UTI. Yuck, Monday.

I do hope everyone's Monday gets better. My complaint is just that my ankles and knees hurt a ridiculous amount and I'm not quite sure why. Yes, I have been running but nothing to make me hurt to this extent.

I used to run long distances. Now I am up to "running" for 20 minutes. After I jogged for 20 minutes my whole body ached mostly my ankle and foot. I feel about 90 now. And my pace is so embarassingly slow. Its depressing to think back on the good old days of running and not feeling like an old lady all the time.

All 3 of us are sick, and it's miserable. DD was up all night last night and would not sleep anywhere except in my arms. This is really unusual for us, she normally sleeps fine in her crib, has been STTN for months! I don't know how you moms whose babies don't sleep well do this. I am exhausted. I basically had to spoon her in my bed to get her to go to sleep for a few hours. I have never had her sleep in my bed, it makes me too nervous but I was at my wit's end last night.

I just got ANOTHER freaking bill for the birth. This one was for a second surgeon in my csection who I didn't even know was there. The second surgeon was considered unnecessary by insurance.

I don't even know what I am annoyed at: the fact that my insurance put a cap on the number of people necessary to keep me and the child alive or that there was someone I didn't know about looking at my insides. I mean, buy a girl dinner first!.

This would seriously bother me. 1 how do they know it was "unneccessary"? 2 it's not something that was under your control.

Went to NY this past weekend for my dad's surprise 70th and ds1 was off the freaking wall, ds2 was an angel. I had to sit at a table with my estranged sister (we have not spoken in 4 years, she has no kids) and ds1 who is normally well behaved in public was terrible and even threw a crayon towards my sister and she "spoke to him" about that. I wanted to farking scream and jump into a black hole. Ugh.... I hate when he acts crazy like that when DH is not around to help me. He kinda ruined my afternoon and I am beyond pissed that my sister got the enjoyment out of seechilly child have a really bad day, ugh. eta: dumb typo,

Thanks steel, despite ds1 acting like a demon child, it was great to see my family and celebrate with my dad.
