Disappearing Registry Items?

Has anyone else had a problem with items disappearing off their Babies R Us registry? Mom called me today and said the stroller we had registered for was not showing up, either under the wanted or the purchased items. I looked at every item on the registry, and sure enough, it's gone. Mom said she saw it on there yesterday when she was looking, and I know I haven't logged on to edit anything since then (I'm the only one who knows the password, DH can't remember it, so nobody else can do it but me) so it's not like I accidentally deleted it. I put the stroller on there again, but I was just wondering. I'm hoping someone bought it and it's just temporarily disappeared, but I'd rather put another on there to be safe than sorry.

  • Maybe you should call and speak to someone in the registry deptartment...find out if there is a possibility it was purchased or if there is a glitch with their system. I checked my registry and all items are on there.

  • Was it possibly a discontinued item that sold out? A few things on mine are, and I was told they would disappear once they were no longer carried.

    nope..I checked that..it's still available for both in-store and online purchase...I will call them when I get home (I'm at work now and our call volume is too high for me to do it here) and see if they have any explanation..I just wondered if anyone else had had this same problem.

  • I think sometimes their coding gets wonky and crap disappears. Either that or occasionally things get purchased and are removed, but not added to the purchased list.

  • Well I emailed their customer service dept and got so bs email about how sometimes items are grouped together and a different item in the group, or an item of a different color might be displayed (?)...and they would look into what happened but could not give me an estimated time of when they would have an answer, but they would recommend making a note on my registry under the decor section about what color we wanted (?)....ok a) the stroller doesn't come in any different color and b) i'm pretty sure nothing they said came close to answering my original email trying to find out if it was purchased and just disappeared or if it was a glitch...gee..so helpful, not...

  • Yep, had this happen. It's quite annoying. There's not much you can do when it happens other than to put it back on. I think sometimes an item number changes or something dumb like that on their end and it just disappears. BRU is no help in the customer service department either.

  • That customer service response was pretty useless... sounda like you basically have to spend all of your free time monitoring your registry to make sure they don't eff it up when you're not looking. Nice.
