  Given that it's free, I'd give it a whirl.  And know that if you find that it's saggy or not supportive enough - there are other options.  But safety wise, it's totally fine.

  You should be fine.  My DD is almost 8 months old and I am still wearing her in mine.

  Your 3 month old is 20 lbs?! Wow, that's big. 

  In terms of the moby - I find that my daughter, about the same weight, sags quite a bit with the moby, even if it's super tight so I felt ready to move on. I got an Infantino Mei Tei and I'm liking it. Even my husband can use it. I'm about to travel internationally with my daughter and planning to use it to get her around all the airports.   I have a big guy, too (19.5 lbs), and we still use the Moby around the house. It's our go-to nap spot when we're home. However, the Ergo is in out car for outside the house. He gets too heavy in the Moby for long walking trips.
