Re: Share LO's feeding schedule please (6/7 months)

  • LO just turned 7 months, but he is just under 25 lbs and 30 inches big boy . This is what our pedi recommended and it has been working 8 oz bottle 5:30 am, oatmeal 8 am, 6 oz bottle 9:30, fruit or veggie 12:30, 8 oz bottle 1:30, 6 oz bottle 5:30, veggie 6;307, 8 oz bottle 8:30. The good thing is that LO will stop eating if he is full!

  • 7:30: 6-7oz bottle, 2T oatmeal with a bit of fruit

11:30: 2-3 cubes of fruit w yogurt and some cereal sprinkled in, 3-4oz bottle

3:30: 2-3 cubes of veggies +1 cube of meat + 1/2t olive oil or mashed egg yolk, 3-4oz bottle

7:00: 7oz bottle (I am thinking of adding some cereal to it)

10pm: 6oz bottle - this is a recent thing. She hasn't taken a dreamfeed since week 10-11. Recently I started it again bc she was waking at 2am but that might have been just a growth spurt so I am going to see still needs in a few days.

I give her puffs here and there in between meals just to practice her pincer skills.

  • This is our approximate schedule.  The times change a little based on her day, length of naps, wake up time, etc.  She is FF.

    6:30 - bottle 6 oz

8:00 - breakfast - about 3 oz.  Usually yogurt or oatmeal mixed with fruit puree.  Sometimes eggs and toast.

    11:00 - bottle 6 oz

12:30 - lunch - about 3 oz.  Usually a veggie puree.  Sometimes mixed with meat.

    3:30 - bottle 6 oz.

6:30 - dinner - about 3 oz.  Usually whatever we are eating blended up.  Pasta with sauce, veggie and meat, or whatever.  Sometimes just a veggie puree with finger food from our dinner if it won't easily puree.

I've been told NEVER to add cereal to a bottle. Won't help them sleep better or keep them fuller. Just a thought.

I know i know... I've always said I would never do that. Not even sure why was even considering that. My sister did that and I I guess that's why.

  • Harmonicbabe26, never add cereal to baby's bottle! It is a choking hazard and not necessary.
