Baby Bath Seat?

Can anyone recommend a really simple baby bath seat? I'm looking for one that doesn't have much to it. I don't need a tray or any toys on it. And I'd like one that is easy to bathe the baby while they're in it. All the ones I've found online seem big, plastic-y and cumbersome. Has anyone seen one that suctions to the bottom of the tub but the baby still sits on the bottom of the tub and not the seat? TIA!

Re: Baby Bath Seat?

  • It may fall into your plasticky, cumbersome category but I absolutely LOVE the Whale of a Tub.  I tried putting it in the bathtub once and my back was killing me afterwards, but its just the right size to fit on my kitchen counter at waist level for bath time so that's all I do now.  I like that Livi can either recline or sit up depending on which side of the tub she's in.

Depending on how active your LO is, I might suggest you look for something else. We have this tub and *loved* it until recently, when DD decided her only mission in life was to hold onto the sides and stand up. Not exactly a safe bath time activity, and there's almost no way to hold her back. But if yours is more mellow, it might work out just fine...

  • I got my DD the Dream Baby bath seat. It's very simple and it does suction to the bottom of the tub. It's nothing fancy, but my DD loves it! she loves sitting up in the tub now. I got mine at Wal-Mart.

Sorry no clicky. They also have it in blue.

  • I'm looking for more of a bath seat or ring than a tub. She's grown out of her tub and I'd like something that she can move around in and splash and play in while staying seated.

  • I was in your shoes a couple months ago... baby was outgrowing the little tub but couldn't sit up well enough to take a bath in the big tub.  I searched and searched and finally ordered the Dream Baby seat PP linked to above, even though I wasn't sure I would like it.  And of course I didn't like it.  Too big and cumbersome and hard to wash baby in.  I ended up holding out until she could sit up on her own and now we just use the big bath tub and it's working out great.  Sorry I can't be any more help!

This is what we have but in blue. It's simple and not bulky. I love the suctions on the bottom. It is a great product for such a low price.
