Question for mom's with daughters

L seems to always have open air accidents. Whenever I am changing her diaper she decides she is going to pee at that very moment. Yesterday it happened twice, once right after her bath. I always hear about the boys peeing but didn't know girls do this often, or maybe it's just mine?? Your daughter peeing on you a lot? And L pees A LOT. I had not idea such a small thing had that much liquid in her.

A rarely pees when her diaper is off, and really only if I let her hang out without a diaper on for a while. She is a holder and flooder though. I was shocked when she peed recently with her diaper off.

A used to pee when we took her diaper off, like she thought it was funny - especially after bathtime, if I didn't put a diaper on her right away. She doesn't do it so much anymore, but we have had a few incidents. I thought it was only boys, too - I guess not!

Kate will pee when I put her in the bath, or when I let her hang out diaperless. Other than that, she doesn't really pee during diaper changes.

THis DD does like to pee during her diaper change. I didnt know little girls did this, DD#1 would only have the "free pee" if I left her diaper off for long periods of time. THen again, DD#1 was prone to UTI's so I think she learned to "hold it" really young.

I recommend changing DD the way you would a boy, open the diaper so the cool air hits her bottom for a few seconds, without removing the diaper then hold over her and let her pee, then remove it. And yes they sure do release a lot of urine at once for such a small little baby.

Ok I guess I will try that, thanks! Seems like L just likes to pee all over me whenever she gets the chance. She loves getting her diaper changed, she kicks all over and is always smiling and excited.

Yes! I thought about posting this the other day. DS1 peed on me a couple of times and I thought I had learned. When she does it, it's a big arching stream too! I'm more careful about it with her than I was with the boys.

I have never been peed on, and maybe twice she has peed when my husband took her diaper off. Every baby is different though.

YES!!! I thought I was the only one. Lila pees ALMOST every single time I change her...once the diaper is off. It is like a race and a challenge for me! She constantly soaks our changing table cover and we had to buy several extra/spares so that we could change it multiple times per day. I have tried holding the diaper up and over her after giving her some fresh air exposure, but it still seems to go everywhere! I, too, was shocked that little girls could be so mischeiveous...

Ok good, haha. Misery loves company, right? We were using disposable pads at one point but I hate spending money on them. I just have some washable pads now.

Clara does occasionally. I always thought that if they had to pee, then felt the cold air on their little parts, that made them let it go.

I was never peed on by Evan (although he did pee in his own face once, but that's a totally different story) but Lauren peed every.single.time. she was changed for probably her first 6 months. Reagan rarely pees during a diaper change, but she pees every time you put her in the tub.
