For DD's 1st birthday I put them in a huge frame that held 12 pictures and had it hung up. I am trying to think of a different way to display DS's and I can't come up with anything. We are having family and friends here and doing buffet style so I am not doing tables/centerpieces.
Is anyone hanging them from a bunting? Tell me what you are doing so I can steal your ideas!
Re: How are you displaying month pics?
I'm actually working on this right now. I'm just making a variation of the below picture using clothes pins, and pinning them to some twine that we will have strung up somewhere.
that is a cute idea! I love it.
This idea, I am basically stealing her whole party... but she posted it on her blog for me to do that right? Here's the ones I made for Layla:
I created an18 x 24 poster with pictures from each month and had it printed and mounted at Kinkos. It turned out awesome!
I also cropped about 50 photos into 4 x 4s, printed them on cardstock at Staples, and then cut them at home, including rounding the corners. They have a vintage look to them now which is cool. I plan to hang them from ribbon using clothespins as others have suggested.
The pictures I chose include ones where DS is with people who will be at the party. My plan is to have them write a note to DS on the back of the photo they are in and then after the party I'll create a book out of the photos with notes. I'm thinking of putting suggestions for their notes like "include what you think DS will be when he grows up and your favorite thing about him".
I just got a cheap ($0.89) spool of ribbon and punched holes in the top corners to string them together.

Our computer is hooked up to our TV as a monitor. I'm setting up a slide show of our favorite photos from the last 12 months to run while everyone arrives/gets their coats off/gets drinks, etc.
So that you don't think we're being totally annoying with the slide show, we are going to switch the TV to college football after a few minutes.

I'm stealing this idea, its so much more easier than what I was thinking.

OCT 2011 Moms BlogI'm just going to put each picture on a piece of construction paper (to make a border), and then clothespin each picture onto a string.
All of these ideas are making me look forward to all the 1st Birthday pictures even more! Everyone seems to be so creative :-) (I, FTR, am not haha)
This is what I'm doing. I used DIY month stickers. I just had to print out the circles on sticker paper. So I'm using the same template, but I printed it out on cardstock instead. Then just cut out the circles and glued them to mini-clothes pins.
