I think we will celebrate at home again this year, with just the three of us. There is a 5k called Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day that DH wants to do and I think I'll walk it with Alex in the stroller. After that we'll have some awesome food at home and just cuddle up on the couch and hang out. Can't wait! I love turkey and marshmallow-sweet potatoes and all that good stuff! This will be the 5th Thanksgiving for me to celebrate (as we don't do that in Germany) and I think it's slowly becoming my favorite holiday :-)
Re: Do you have plans for Thanksgiving yet?
So soon! I am kind of jealous! ;-) Maybe it's time to practice my turkey baking skills, hehehe.
Probably with SIL's family again this year. And I'll be cooking with BIL just like last year.
We'll be celebrating Thanksgiving with my family two weeks early. It's the one time we can all get together!
On Thankgiving, DH's mom's side all gets together. They rent out a church rec room and his grandma just assigns everyone a dish to pass (everyone pretty much brings the same thing every year. I'm always in charge of the veggie/relish tray).
Thanksgiving night=Warehouse sale at the Carter's outlet!! Last year I got a ton of great stuff 75% off!! SIL will be in town, so she'll be coming too to stand it the crazy check-out line with me.
LCT - 5.15.14 ~ 9lbs, 22.5 inches
If DH doesn't have to work then we will go to my in-laws house. We have never spent Thanksgiving with them. I am afraid I won't get my usually yummy casserole sidedishes like greenbean casserole, corn casserole, sweet potatoes & apples, stuffing. It will probably be frozen greenbeans, turkey, and rolls
If DH has to work then it will be just the 3 of us at home whenever he gets home.

In years past we've had three Thanksgivings - one with my parents/grandparents, one with MIL/grandparents, and one with FIL/stepMIL (SMIL?)/SIL/BIL/random family members. My family T-giving is either at my parents' (local) or my grandparents' (1.5 hour drive.) Both MIL and her parents are local, so that's easy, but FIL is 3+ hours away. Balancing the three can get complicated. Last year we didn't go to FIL's because I was so pregnant, but I think we should this year, especially so they can all see the baby (who they've only met once.)
Ricola, we have a Turkey Trot in our town too. Maybe I can convince DH to do it with me and LO in the stroller.
Fastest year of my life.
You should try to convince him!
DH is actually doing the times 5 miles and I am doing the 1 mile with DS in the stroller. That way we will be finished around the same time (1 mile starts after 5 miles) and we get to hang out together for a while. A bumpie friend of mine said she and her DS would join me, so it should be fun! DS is not happy when he is in the stroller for longer than an hour or so, so I opted out of the 5 miles. :-)

I am drooling right now, just looking at that picture!

sibling love
As far as we know, we're spending some time with my husband's family.
The food I'm looking forward to is my mother in law's brussels sprouts and cauliflower bake. I love fresh brussels sprouts. Yum, I might have to go to the market this week and get myself some!
