Anyone taking EPO vaginally?

Yay/nay? Does it leak out when you get up to pee? I'm not sure how effective it would be for me to insert just because I'm usually up to pee an hour and a half after I go to bed...

This is what I figured too - I get up 7 times a night and I'm pretty sure it would leak everywhere. I decided to stick to orally.

I am. It starts dissolving pretty quickly so I'd still use it if you want to.

What week did you start taking it vaginally? I've been taking it orally for a week, I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow....

My MW recommended taking it orally anytime after 34wks and vaginally at/after 37wks. I'm now taking it orally and vaginally since I'm over 37wks.

I have been since 37 weeks and it has been fine. Wore a panty liner to bed first night or two to be safe but nothing really leaked.

How many mg are you taking vaginally and orally at same time?

Apparently it's good for softening the cervix and helping you dilate faster I believe?

I'm taking 500mg orally and 1000mg vaginally. I had a problem with it leaking while sleeping so I put a pillow under my legs so my pelvis was tilted up alittle. That worked and I slept better too.

Yea mine are 1000mg too so I only take one orally and one vaginally. And yes the prostaglandins are supposed to help ripen the cervix. Same with semen although I believe semen is supposed to be more effective. DH is gone though so I'll be good at taking the EPO lol.

The only ones I found were 1300mg, so I've only been taking 1 daily, orally. Now that I'm 38 weeks, I can up the dosage to 2 daily, so I was going to do 1 orally in the AM and 1 vaginally at bedtime.

I do and outside of being a bit more lube-y (errr, not sure how else to say it) I have had no leaking and no more getting up at night than normal.
