1st Trimester

Symptoms fading at 9 weeks

Hey all,

i know that this question/concern has probably been put out there several times this week alone, but oh well.

i'm 9 weeks and noticing that i'm feeling somewhat better.  Breasts are barely sore.  The small amount of nausea i had seems to have faded.  And i don't feel as bone crushingly tired (though i am still going to bed at 9pm at the latest - so not exactly perky). Perhaps i'm just getting more used to the tiredness, i don't know...

The ultrasound a couple weeks ago showed baby was measuring 7 weeks 3 days and had a hb of 144.  But after 2 years of IF i just can't stop worrying that this drop off of symptoms is a missed miscarriage.  i don't go for another scan until Oct. 12.

  • Symptoms will come and go :) Or disappear. Other than being tied I had 0 symptoms until I started feeling her move. Try to relax (easier said than done).

  • Hi,

From what I have read for some women symptoms can come and go, I am almost 7 weeks and mine come and go as well. My boobs won't hurt at all and than the next minute they will be throbbing. Every pregnancy is so different, this one has been so different than my first. Inwouldntry not to worry unless the dr tells you otherwise.

    Good luck!

  • As PP say symptoms come and go. I have breast pain some days and others nothing at all. Some days I could hurl at the sight of food other days i'm stuffing my face. I actually haven't felt tired much at all with this pregnancy, but I was exhausted with my previous 2.  It's hard to say try not to worry, but I hope this eases your mind.

  • Since I am almost 24 weeks along hopefully it will give you comfort to know that I posted the exact same thing at 9 weeks. It freaked me out too when I lost symptoms. They do come and go and also they may taper off at around this time. Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy!

  • Thanks so much, ladies.  i know it's common for symptoms to begin to calm down the closer to 12 weeks you get but i'm a bundle of nerves.

  • I'm in a similiar boat. I'm 8 weeks 5 days. I had a u/s last week baby was fine and measuring right and has 146 hb. I've been evil sick for over a month. Like a 24/7 ride on the nausea train and completely exhausted. (my boobs never hurt this pregnancy) last 2 days I've felt fantastic physically which of course makes me feel stressed emotionally thinking something is wrong. The rational part of me knows symptoms to come and go for some women and that sometimes they do actually taper off sooner. The irrational part of me isn't listening. :) it's like I'm begging to throw up lol so I feel pregnant and stop worrying.

  • Here, here. I'm just shy of 7 weeks and so far I haven't experienced much. Started with sore boobs and dizzy spells (which I'm already prone to), then about a solid week of rough nausea, and then it tapered off. I occasionally get nauseous, but my boobs barely hurt anymore and don't feel "full" like I thought they did earlier. Of course, my first appointment isn't until October 3rd, so I'll be a wreck on-and-off until we see the heartbeat, but I'm trying to just enjoy the symptom free days. Hubbin' thinks I'm outside my mind for wanting to feel worse than I do! :-P

  • I've felt that from about 9 weeks to when you feel the baby move more consistently is the hardest weeks of pregnancy, mentally at least.

In your heart you know that everything is ok. But, some symptoms would be nice. Unless you are freaked about about something, cramping, bleeding... than things are probably okay and baby is growing like crazy!
