You know what game I hate?

The I'm completely asleep but the minute you walk out of earshot I stand up and scream game.

Seriously Go the F*k to sleep.

Please?

You have been sleeping fine since 8... but for some reason the MINUTE I crawl into bed you decide it's time to wake up. :/

  • You have my complete and utter sympathy.  DS did this last night.  He went to sleep like a champ an hour early, then was up from 10pm to almost 2.  He'd doze off, then come screaming awake the second I even thought of moving.  We ended up sleeping on the guest bed from 2 - 5:30 when he got up for the day.  Thank God DH doesn't have class on Fridays, because I refused to stay up with DS.

  • I'm thanking god it's the weekend and I don't have to stay awake for class tomorrow. I just got her back to sleep, and STAYING asleep. The hardest part is that L is on the 2nd floor, and our BR is on the 1st floor, the stairs are so creaky, even with a fan going the second the stairs creak she's awake, it's a crapshoot as to whether she'll put herself back to sleep or not. I was up down 6 times in the last hour.

  • I'm sorry, that really sucks.  Geesh, it's late where you live!  I have a sound machine and a humidifier in C's room, sometimes I have the fan going as well.  Gotta love as much white noise as you can get.

  • That's not a real game. LBB actually plays a sleep game. He full on closes his eyes and pretends to sleep, and then he either starts laughing and sits up like "ha ha ha - I got you" or whips out his pacifier and tries to put it in my mouth.

Oh she plays that one too... Or grabs my nose and claws my face trying to stick her fingers in my mouth.

  • I think babies had a secret meeting last night, because Nora did the same.  She went to bed around 8, awoke again an hour later but fussed back to sleep, fussed again an hour later, then she really woke up around 11.  She was wide awake, happy as can be until 2:30 a.m.  I don't know what her deal was, because she almost always sleeps amazing- usually around 11 hours a night with no fuss.  I wonder if I had too much caffeine yesterday or if it is some sort of growth spurt.  She didn't act like her teeth hurt or anything, so I'm clueless.
