For those of you who have given your lo eggs, did you cook the whole egg or just the egg yolk?

    Only the yolk here. I scramble 2 yolks for her and then use the whites to make myself an omelette

    did you ask your Dr. Or just go for it? My egg separation techniques aren't perfect so I'm sure she's had some whites.

    We did hard boiled yolks 3 times then moved to whole eggs.  If you boil them you dont have to worry about separating them.

    We do whole eggs. We don't have any food allergies though, and DS didn't get any reactions when he had his vaccines (which they can if they have an egg allergy/sensitivity).  He loves scrambled egg with cheese melted on top!

    whole thing - she LOVES scrambled eggs!

    The pedi gave us no restrictions on foods, so I didn't specifically ask about eggs

    We haven't tried eggs yet but she has had food that contains eggs such as pancakes. I asked the Dr at our 9 month visit on Monday and she told me to wait until 18 months which is just plain crazy talk. She has been ultra conservative on other topics as well... I think we might try some hard boiled egg yolks soon.

    We do whole egg. Pedi recommends this by 7 months to give early exposure due to new research it can be protective. No food allergy history though.

    We give him whole eggs and quite a few things that actually have eggs in them, too, like pancakes for example. 

    We did not consult the Dr. before. He said at the 9-month well check to hold off until 1 year and I told him that DS is eating them since he was 6 months old. He just said "Good" and smiled.
