Do you have suggestions for a carrier to use while nursing? I am extremely short bodied. I have both a k'tan and beco and I was not successful BF with either. My baby's head was always way too high compared to my breast. With the new babe on the way, I think I will need to invest in something that will work. I'm new to this board, so I'm not up to date on the BW lingo, so I may have some additional questions. Thanks so much!

The K'tan isn't adjustable, so it may not work w/ your anatomy, but I agree w/ PP to look at videos at least for the Beco which can be adjusted. Options include raising or lowering your baby as well as raising or lowering your shirt neckline to find the right combo. Some Becos do a hip carry which works for nursing for many moms.
To answer your original question, I have nursed in a wrap (my main carrier style), ring sling and mei tai.

Thanks. I will check out the videos. However, I did try hiking up my breast and moving DS down, but I quickly ran into my hips with my short body. It's like the Beco is too long for me to lower much. I will also look into the hip carry.
Do you have any suggestion on the best option for a newborn? Or a specific wrap, ring sling, or mei tai you suggest?
Thanks again.

It is possible to do the "drop down" thing in the beco but like you, I've never found that really comfortable (I've got plenty of torso just small boobs so I have to lower so much it is just not comfy!).
I think nursing in a ring sling should work well for you - instead of dropping baby down, you swing baby sideways into more of a semi-cradle position to nurse. Plus ring slings are just handy to have!
Sleeping Baby Productions has nice slings at good price points. Comfy Joey, Kalea Baby, Sakura Bloom, and Maya wrap are other brands to check out (CJ is my personal favorite).

THIS! word for word, I used the Maya to nurse and it was so easy, discreet and virtually hands free, if need be. I still nurse my 9mo old in the Maya, but it was easier when he was smaller.
