My first CS check

I recieved my first child support check today, my daughter will be 7 months next week and I have been struggling to get by every month.  I am so happy that I will now be getting a check every other week to help pay for her needs

    My lo's dad was stalling any way he possibly could with the court system, he even demanded a dna test be done and waited till the last day to take that too....it was a good thing I hired an atty otherwise I'd be waiting longer

    Yes, be prepared for a long wait for CS if your EX wants to fight it. I couldn't afford a lawyer so I filed through the family support division of the county prosecuter's office (which is not an option in every state) and it took 14 months for us to finally get to mediation and our final court date. And he still doesn't pay the damn CS so he's several grand in arrears, yet I am not allowed to bar his access to LO. Great thing, they can get everything they want and have zero responsibility for their children.
