My child is obsessed with straws. It's all she will use whether it's my cup or hers.
I'm pretty sure she's the weird one..lol.
However, on the other side, she won't drink out of a regular sippy or normal cup at all.
Jonathan is exactly like this. He really got it when we would make slurp noises, and he would copy us. Then we just gave him a straw and did it. When he figured out he got stuff when he slurped, that was it.

DS cannot figure out how to tilt his head back to drink. He does awesome with straw sippies but anything else is just a nightmare of frustrating crying. No matter how many times I show him how and help him, he still wont tilt his head back. Now, give him a plain cup and he drinks fine... until he decides to dump it everywhere.
