Do you text alot?

Happy Friday!

I have 500 for my texting plan. MH just sent me an email that I've reached 435 for this month. Does anyone else use that many? I made a comment to my boss that I told her daughter she needs to start emailing me during the day because she is always texting me about something....can you bring me this....pick me up at this time....blah blah. My boss also texts me all the time and even weekends...mostly stupid stuff that can wait. Her was her response...get more texting minutes!

I said 500 is plenty and almost said why don't you give me $ for all the texting I do for your family! I seriously need to have MH go on line to figure out who the heck I'm texting!!! I do try to write pm's to pp on FB so I don't use all my text's up. Hmmmm.

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    I have unlimited texts because DH is addicted to texting.  If you have that many work-related texts you should be able to deduct your phone on your taxes.
    Me 39 & suspected PCOS, DH 42. Went off BCP when we got married in 11/11, seriously TTC since 3/12.  Six cycles of clomid = BFNs.  Suspected endometriosis & HSG showed both tubes blocked.  Sept 2013 IVF 5D transfer of two perfect embryos = BFN.  Started acupuncture and taking time off to drop some pounds & get healthier before FET in April 2014.

    Yes.  I text too much!  But it's so much easier than making a call or waiting for an email to be returned.  I have yet to go over my allotted minutes but I get close every month!  You are not alone.  Wink

    I get my email's on my phone real quick but I know some pp don't like to email. It only takes a minute longer...lol

    No I meant it takes longer for some people to respond to email.  I get them on my phone too but have more luck with texts coming back!

    DH and I both have iPhones and unlimited plans.  I text a LOT.

    Same here. I actually prefer texting over other forms of communication. When I give someone my phone number, I tell them to text if I don't answer the call. I never thought I would be a huge texter, but I am.

    I recently had to change my phone plan and they didn't have a 500 text message option anymore.  I had to go with either 1500 or unlimited.  I was a bit stunned.  I get a lot of texts and reply to those. I usually just talk to people instead.

    I am not a texter...and if the bulk of your texts are from your job, I definitely think that you are justified in asking your boss to pay for it.

    I still have the phone where you have to text by pressing a button multiple times to cycle through the alphabet.  For instance, to text the letter c, I have to press the 1 key 3 times.

     I use tons of my unlimited nights & weekends & mobile to mobile phone minutes.

    I agree, your boss should have offered to pay after you let her know what the issue is.  Though from what you have posted about her before, it doesn't seem like that is likely to happen. :(

    Owlprof, I have just gone from my iPhone which died last week back to a verizon flip phone like and the texting is driving me crazy. I finally figured out that i didn't have the predictive text on, but even so, OMG it is making me nuts. I was paying for unlimited texts, but I have now lowered that to 900 per month because don't seem to be using that many. I do text a lot, but I prefer talking on the phone, (especially with this new/old phone) so I will definitely be doing it less!

    Actually by switching from a smart phone data plan to this one, I am saving about $50 a month, which I hope to keep doing until I can upgrade my phone in March of 2013...

     

    TTC since 3/2010. Me 41, DH-49. After 3 years, 6 IUIs and several IVFs we have finally have our beautiful baby girl, born on 11/7/13.

    I do text alot, I find its easier because the person can discretely, discreetly (sp?) look at instead of taking a phone call, especially during work.....my work cell is my old flip phone and which you have to press each button multiple times....I have forgotten how to "space the words" so everything is one long word! Crazily enough I used to text faster on that old phone and could do it with out looking...I can't do that now!

    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    Miscarriage 4/23/15
