Period like cramping when laying down

This is the second night in a row that I can't sleep because of cramping very low.  Every time I go to bed and lay on my left side, the cramps come back and are constant.  The pressure is terrible also.  As soon as I get up and sit on the couch for a while, the cramps go away.  Anyone else having anything similar?  LO is way down there also so I understand the pressure, but I don't get why I have such bad cramps when I try to sleep now.

  • I get it also except I have narrowed down that mine are contractions.  Generally if I drink a couple glasses of water and take some tylenol I can get back to sleep and they will go away.  In fact, that is why I am up now.

  • I've had this, too, and I dunno what it is! Totally freaked me out. I don't think I've even dropped yet so I have no idea what's going on. Good luck, I hope you feel better!

  • My doctor did tell me they were contractions, but I never got them while sleeping so much like I do now.  When I get up, I drink a bunch of water and sit up for a while, I can get back to sleep.  I am ready for them just to put me in labor!

  • I've had the same thing at night/evening and asked my doctor about it yesterday. She said it was mild dehydration, drink more water.

  • I wake up every morning with the same thing. I'm also ready for it to just put me into labor already too! Yesterday all night and in the morning I had timeable contractions, 10 minutes apart. It was such a tease.

Oh my gosh - 10 minutes apart!  That is a tease!  I hope it's just my body's way of getting going b/c dehydration is not an issue for me.  I drink water like a fish!  I'm hoping to progress into labor very soon...but not getting my hopes up.

  • I get cramping too with contractions. I called my doc the other day because it was between 8-10 minutes a part for 3 hours. He said to keep pushing fluids and they will usually fizzle out.

  • I had this the days leading up to my labor! I thought it was just from having an internal exam. Then my water broke haha. I felt them, and only them, through 6 cm.
