Infertility Veterans

Been missing everyone.

It's been so quiet here, at least when I've checked in.  Seems like we all need a pick-me-up.  This board is long overdue for some good news.

I've been quiet just because of my own nerves and anxiety.  Not a day has gone by that I haven't thought of you all.  Sending hugs whether or not you want them.  :)

Baby girl Lila born 2013.
Baby boy Henry born 2015.
Expecting our capstone baby (boy) early March 2018.

Hi!  How are things with you?  Any updates on your cycle?

Hi there purple lady. I'm ok.  Crazy stressed at work, like never before.  We're days away from ER.  It'll be either Sunday or Monday. Last night, we had a somewhat unexpected death in the family.  It's added a ton of stress to our situation, but we'll make it through.

    How are you doing?  :)

Irish, I'm not on the FB group.  I was worried about privacy and really don't want to set up a secondary FB account.  I will though if that's where you girls are.

My clinic won't tell me crap about how she's doing.  Today is day 9 of stims.  I suspect we'll trigger tomorrow.  They said to expect 5-12 eggs.  You can imagine I wasn't satisfied with that range.  They said she's responding nicely and that it'll probably be around 10 or so.  When I expressed concern about the possibility of 5, the nurse replied, "Remember, theses aren't your eggs.  They're good." Super!  lol

ETA -- my comment about not being satisfied with the 5-12 range had nothing to do with the numbers.  The range is so great, it's basically meaningless.

Thanks mtlaurel!  I completely agree. We'd be ecstatic with 10.  Sounds like a sweet spot, good balance between number and quality.  We shall see.   No matter what we get, it'll be better than anything I could ever have done.

Yes, it will drive you bonkers.  I know someone who's had two DE cycles at CC.RM and she said they don't give out info either.  My nurse said they don't tell because too many patients have yelled at the doc when expectations weren't met. She laughed when I told her that I'm different. ;) Can't wait for your cyst to resolve so you can get this party started!

I'm so sorry about the death in the family and for all of the stress at work and home.  I was hoping for a relaxed, stress-free time for you.

Please post an update on the ER - I'll be rooting for you!

Our cycle has been delayed again.  We've finally saved up the $28k cost for everything, but now I'm having second thoughts about our clinic -- they seem so short and curt with responses and I'm worried I should be looking elsewhere.  We can only afford one shot at IVF, and I just don't want to have any regrets.  Sigh.
