I know, I know, it's kind old wives' tale-ish, but I feel like they're harmless, and if they might help, I'm wanting to try them again next cycle (just 10 more days, hopefully!).
Last cycle we TTC'd, I drank 8oz. of POM juice from CD1 - O, then ate pineapple core from 1-5 DPO. I found all kinds of conflicting interwebz info on this, probably because it's not a medical/scientific thing...
Anyone else use these currently or in the past? What method did you use?
Re: POM and Pineapple Core
This is c&p'd from the blog:
Pomegranite Juice - This juice improves the thickness of your uterine lining, which is especially helpful for those on fertility treatments. It has to be pure pomergranite juice, not a "mix" like the ones minute maid produces. 8oz daily starting from CD1. Be warned, if you do not get a BFP, AF will make the blood scene from Carrie look like 'nuthin.
Pineapple Core - After ovulation, you can eat pineapple core to aid in implantation, (it contains bromelain, which is what is thought to aid implantation). I personally never did this b/c I always forgot. But, recommendations from other are to cut the core into very thin pieces and eat it for five days. Some have made it into a smoothie, but i don't know the recipe. I assume that if you already have a smoothie recipe, just throw in pineapple core.
I agree with Weaslewam.
Pineapple core is harder but it not super hard to chew. Its a little harder then the main pineapple part and isn't as sweet but it's not bad especially if you are doing it for fertility!
I did exactly what you are doing - POM CD1-O and pineapple core 1-5dpo. The first (and only) cycle I did it, I got a BFP. Unfortunately, it didn't last for me, but I plan to start that stuff up again with the start of my next cycle. I figure it can't hurt and it was either just luck that our BFP coincided with the juice, or those things actually helped. At this point, I'll take all the help I can get.
Also, the pineapple core depends on the fruit. I bought one and it was SO tough that I had a hard time even cutting it, much less chewing it. Another fruit I bought had a core I could cut with a butter knife and was much more managable.

~All AL always welcome~
Same here. And DH drank it almost daily, cuz I read somewhere else that it's good for his swimmers, too!
As far as the pineapple core, I cut it into 5 pieces and ate one piece by cutting into smaller bites each day after I confirmed O. It wasn't bad. A little tougher than the other part of the fruit, but tolerable. I did throw a piece into a smoothie one of the days. Just some mixed berries, the pineapple core and some Greek yogurt.
I ate pineapple core the last cycle I got pregnant, unfortunately this was my latest MC. (Not that the two are related at all). I ate way too much of it in one day though and had the most terrible stomach cramps. I was sure I'd really messed something up. I had cut it up and put almost the whole thing into a smoothie.
If I decide to try it again I'll do the one piece a day thing, still probably in a smoothie.

Thanks, I missed that on the blog!
The pineapple core, we just bought a pineapple, cut it, and then cut the core into five coins. It's a bit tough, but it's edible. I
