my doctors office is irritating me

I switched to a new doctor this year and gave them my records. They copied them and are keeping my physical file for me. They're about twenty minutes away and its kinda a PITA to get over there during the day with baby so I figured I would pick the file up when I went in again.

They called me twice about it so i went in to pick them up and they were closed. The hours on the door said they should be open but they were not.

They called me again to pick them up and I asked when they would be open and they told me, oh well, we're closed all week for a holiday plus these random days too. Also they couldn't possibly mail it to me. so i decided to stick with my original plan and just get them next time i had an appointment.

They just called again and left me a bvtchy message about how they've had them for so long and they'll just shred them if i don't want them. Seriously? It's a manilla file folder! How hard is it to just stick it on a shelf or mail it to me?

I had such issues with the office staff at my last doctor (and the doctor) so i really am considering switching doctors again.

    Frankly, I'd probably call back and leave a message telling them exactly that. Something along the lines of, "I just received a really rude message about needing to come in and pick up my file. I switched doctors because I had issues with rude staff, so I'm hoping this doesn't become a pattern. I was over there last week, but you were closed, and it's really inconvenient to drive so far with my son. I will be in on suchandso date and time for an appointment, and I will pick it up then." 

    I cannot stand rude office staff. It is such, such, such a turnoff...like they're doing you a huge favor by assisting you. 

    But, I'm in a b!tchy mood today. So that might not actually be a good idea.
