My husband and I are at a stand still. He really likes Charlotte Rose and I really like Scarlett Ann. Please help us decide! Which do you all like better?
We thought of that but her initials would be "CAB". Not a horrible thing but I just don't want CAB on all her stuff.
I do like Charlotte but it is my DH's grandmother's name. I feel like it would be sort of confusing at times. Also, the whole popularity thing. I do want a name like Bridget that isn't so common. I think that Bridget and Scarlett sound nice together too. I'm prepared for the whole, "Like Scarlett O'Hara?" thing. I have already gotten "like the web?" for Charlotte. (Charlotte's Web)
I don't really like Scarlett Rose because they are both colors.
I have never liked the name Scarlett, and I don't really know why. I think it sounds harsh or something. Charlotte is NMS, but I like it better than Scarlett. Either of the middle names is good.

I thinkt they're both beautiful names. But what would their "short" names be? Charlie or Char could be Charlotte but then Scar would be Scarlette. We are picking names that we can use a nickname for that doesn't sound like something kids want to make fun of. LOL
I want to like Scarlett, but there is something about it that doesn't sit right with me. I can't put my finger on it.
I would avoid Scarlett Rose. All I think is "red rose". Color names need to avoid having nouns as middle names IMO.

The nickname for Charlotte is "Lottie" which I'm not wild about. The thing I don't like about Scarlett is the nickname "Scar". UGH! So I thought of just changing it to "Star" and have her be my little star. I like the thought of that. We could even use a star symbol instead of her first initial because my DH is also an S name. His name is Scott and I feel like Scarlett is kind of similar to Scott. They both have the Sc and the tt. That's another reason I like it.
We are going with Scarlett Rose. Thank you for everyone's input. My DH doesn't like the name Ann and he told me he would give me Scarlett if I gave him Rose. So we met in the middle. As far as the whole thing of it being two colors, he said that it's not two colors, it's Red Rose and he thinks that is beautiful. Plus, roses were our theme at our wedding. I'm so happy to have a name set in stone!

Even though it's more popular, I totally vote for Charlotte. It sounds great with either Rose or Ann.
Me too!
I don't think you can go wrong with either name. Both are lovely.

Don't do Scarlett Rose, though, since that's just like calling her Red Rose. I think names that go Adjective Noun sound weird.
I like Charlotte Rose better.

This!
The middle names are NMS. I like both of the first names, but I would probably go with Charlotte because I would want to use Charlie as a nickname.
Also, regarding popularity, I don't know any little Charlotte's, but my coworker just named her baby Scarlett Jane.
