Welp, my uterus is still tilted, after all

Meaning there was no way we could hear the heart beat today.

It's okay though. It would have been nice to hear that wooshing sound, but I knew my chances were slim.

I did get some good news, though. When my Dr asked me how much I weighed before I got pregnant, I told her I didn't know but assumed I must have kept an extra 10lbs from my previous pregnancy. Turns out I am currently 1lb below my last pre-pg weight. Yay!

  • Boooo - how many weeks until you should be able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler?

Woo hoo! That is nice to hear! :)

Will you do the testing at 11 weeks that gives you an ultrasound so you can see the LO?

You bet I am! My appointment is booked for October 13 and I. cannot. wait.

With the girls, I wasn't able to hear it until I was a little over 12 weeks. So I'm assuming it will be the same thing with this LO. When you have a "straight" (non-tilted) uterus, you may be able to hear it as early as 8 or 9 weeks.

  • Yay for being below your last pre preg weight! Great job! Those LOs keep you busy, don't they? It's like you don't realize what you aren't eating because you're always helping someone else. At least that's how I feel.

Sorry about not hearing the hb. When I was preg with Jack my plencenta was facing the front of my belly so we couldn't hear the hb with a Doppler until 20ish weeks. It was frustrating.
