I totally said I was going to join you this month, then I went onto my library's website to download the book and it wanted my library card number. I lost that shiz in the 5th grade! so I call to see if the librarian will just tell me the card number over the phone, but noooo she wants me to come in and get a new card. Duh librarian, if I had time to go to the library I would just come borrow the book!
So I might go over there tomorrow, I think they're open late on Fridays.
I finished it a few days ago. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I expected it to be a total hate read, but I actually found the author very relatable (even though some of the things she said and did were pretty terrible).
I'll save the rest of my thoughts for our discussion at the end of the month, but I'll say there were parts where I was literally laughing out loud.
When is our discussion again? I need to mark it on the calendar so I don't miss it like I did with the last two discussions!
My only problem is that I keep finding myself getting angry with her and I have to stop reading for a little while, haha.
Right!! Hahaha. I *think* there is a book by one of her daughters. If there is, I very much want to read it!!!
Cheekers - we are reading "Battle hymn of the Tiger Mother" (or something similar lol) It's a pretty fast read. Well, if you aren't putting the book down to count to 10.

I actually finished it just last night! I thought it was an extremely easy read and had no problem reading it in time (which is unusual!). I really liked the authors honesty and no BS way of writing about herself...she didn't sugar coat anything which was nice. I was a little disappointed in how it ended though, i was expecting something a little more exciting.

Honestly, I feel that way about most books I read.

Sophia (the older one) wrote an OpEd in the NY Post and she has a blog: https://tigersophia.blogspot.com/ (Yes, I looked her up when I finished reading the book
)
Thanks! Just downloaded it.
