where would your toddler hide stuff?

DS use to 'hide' random things on our speaker when he was like a year old. Not sure he was 'hiding' or just putting stuff in the hole for fun.

The other day he was playing with DH's wallet and said something about a picture... and now hubs can't find his license. Also our stereo remote has gone missing.

We've checked with all his toys. In his bed. In the speaker (which this stuff wouldn't fit in). In the vents... If you ask him where the stuff is, he just says, "I dunno..."

B's hidey hole is the fridge of her play kitchen. We also find lots of things in the couch cushions.

B hides things between the cushions, under anything, and behind the piano. He used to put things in the hole in the subwoofer, but we taped that over months ago.

We're currently missing 2 magnets from the M&D farm door puzzle and a Little People winter elf. It's driving me crazy that I can't find them.

I hope your H finds his license soon - did you look under the rug?

I forgot, we did tear apart the couch....

I didn't look under the rug, because I assumed they were in the same spot and we would see a remote. But I guess there is a good chance they are not in the same spot... Will tell hubs to check the rug.

Also the play kitchen is a good thought... but my neice was just over playing with it and I'm sure she would've made it know if it were in there.

His crib is up against the wall so between the wall and the crib, under the bed, in the drawers of the tv cabinet and if not there I think everything else is in my car. Or in my 500 lb diaper bag. Or my purse. Or my gym bag. Or my briefcase. They are all mysteriously heavy. I just found a lil people sheep in my purse.

Under furniture, in the toybox, between the cushions, etc. We rip EVERYTHING apart to find missing stuff because it makes me nuts. Oh, and DD has been on a "garbage" streak for the last month. We're pretty sure she pitched the remote for the DVD player and one of my flipflops. Also, she threw out her new, expensive shoes and I had to go out to the garage and go through all the trash to find them. Hope that isn't the case for you.

totally looked under/behind all furniture (hum other than sofa in office...) Crap. Yesterday was garbage day... I didn't even think about the garbage! Nooooooooo... Please not the garbage.

LOL. It's funny because I have stuff in my purse from going out to a resturant or whatever... Random toy cars for example. And when I was traveling (sans kids) I always forget to empty the stuff out so I'm at airport security with random children items but no kids.... Also my shiiit would be 6lbs lighter if I would've remember to empty it!

He hides things in his dresser drawers that he can reach (they are empty since he'd throw all the clothes out anyway). He especially loves hiding the dog's toys in there. We also have an empty cabinet in our living room he stashes stuff in from time to time. Hope you find your stuff!

The dishwasher is a favorite dumping ground. The other day I discovered I washed one of the dog's nasty tennis balls. Also, pretty much any cabinet he can open.

In the disc changer of our stereo, the holes in the speakers, under the couch, under the rugs, behind the couch, in the heating vents.. The list is actually never ending, honestly, and I still am missing my debit card.

Under the couch cushions
Inside of boots
Inside the dog crates

DS likes to put credit and debit cards in anything that looks like a credit card slot... the space between the drawer and the cabinets, the side of the lazy susan, the slot abov ethe cd changer, and in the top of the cabinets (I find them in my pots and pans. Also, under the fridge and stove... good luck !!

Our daughter likes to throw things off the deck, so I will find all kinds of randomness in the bushes below it. Other favorites include: her toy bins, dog toy basket, the pantry, her Dora tent, the trunk of her princess truck, and the kitchen cabinet she likes to sit in. Good luck!!

Generally in the soft-sided cooler stored in his closet or the flip-up seat of his wagon. This post made me realize the kiddo is pretty orderly though b/c I had a hard time thinking of these places!

My license mysteriously disappeared. I waited in a 3 hour line to get my new one. A week later I found it under the rug when my son just randomly turned up the rug and pulled out my licence. Also, he is obsessed with my credit cards. He has put them in his grill, in books, under the couch cushions, behind the couch, in his room on his little table... HTH!

Under the stove, laundry baskets, hamper, on top of dining room chairs, window sills, thrown over the screen in the fire place, or in her books. Oh, and in the cat litter apparently. That was a gross place to find her cup and puzzle pieces.

C hides stuff under the couch and when he wants it again he crawls on his belly to get it. In his garbage truck toy. In planters. In the trash (that's always fun). He hides things anywhere that he can. Good luck finding the ID.

No idea. He does like to randomly throw stuff down the stairs to the basement though. The other day he ran off with his toothbrush. I couldn't find it and when asked he just said "in". That night I went to brush my teeth and found his toothbrush in my cosmetic bag where I keep my toothbrush. Seems my kid is smarter than I give him credit for.
