if your LO is a tummy sleeper

What does your LO sleep in?  My DD sleeps on her tummy and usually just sleeps in a short-sleeve onesie.  Now that it's getting colder, I think she needs something warmer.  But all the jammies I've found have either zippers or buttons and I'm afraid that would bother her tummy/neck.  Are there other options?

  • She sleeps in a long-sleeved footed sleeper, even in the summer.  When it gets really cold, I'll put her in a fleece one.  I don't see why the buttons or zippers would bother her... I've slept in stuff with buttons and it doesn't bother me.

I agree... I think she'll be fine.  :)   Maybe try something like this.image

  • It is already cold here at nights, and DS sleeps in sleepers with zippers and buttons.  It doesn't bother him.

  • He sleeps in a footed, sometimes footless, zipper sleeper from TCP. They are my absolute favorite! The have a snap that goes over the zipper so I think that prevents bothering, at least he has never had any problems.

I also like the pants and top set from baby gap but he will probably need socks in the winter.

  • he always sleeps in a zip up sleeper, no issues with zippers.

  • I put her a short sleeved onesie and put her in jammies over that. She has slept just with the zipped or snapped jammies and hasn't been at all bothered by the snaps or zipper.

  • Well when it was cold we were using the stretchies footed pjs from children's place, and I know the zipper has a backing of fabric on it so it doesn't actually touch LO's skin. We'll us them again this winter I'm sure.I see where you're coming from though, you don't want anything digging into her. I never liked the "cheaper" quality zippered pjs because the zipper was right on DD's skin, and it seemed so rough. I'm not sure if snaps would really bother them though, depends on the quality of the snaps used... I'd say feel them at the store and use your judgement.

  • Two piece footless pj. He's quite tall and since he stands and cruises, footed pjs don't work for him anymore :
