What do I need to bring to daycare.

My LO goes to daycare for the first time tomorrow. Sad face He is 12 weeks old. I have his stuff all laid out ready to go but what am I forgetting? Other than the norms, diapers, formula, clothes, etc. What kinds of things do you bring to your LOs daycare?

They gave us a checklist but to add what you have I also brought wipes, pacifiers,(2), diaper cream. Nothing else is allowed like toys, blankets at our DC.

We brought a blanket, paci, wipes, diapers, spare clothes. Then bottles premade for the day. Thats it!! I know I cried at lo's first day of daycare, but I have no other choice and he has fun there (has girlfriends lol).

This was probably obvious to others, but the first day we just packed enough diapers & wipes for the day. Then they told us we could bring whole big pack of diapers & wipes for them to keep in her cubby. Duh, total newbie mistake!

In addition to pps items, we also packed a sleep sack for DDs naps.

Remember to put his name on everything.

Yes, we also ordered name stickers because the writing kept coming off. They also asked for some batteries, plastic bags, reusable grocery bag to leave there for dirty stuff. I don't cry, just feel guilty all day : (.

ask your daycare if they can put them into sleep sacks or whatever when they put them down... some places wont wrap them or put them in anything except their outfit... my step sister works in a daycare where they cannot put anything in the crib except the baby in their clothes and a pacifier...

This. Maybe call and check with the daycare on what they provide, and what you need to bring. Our daycare only wants diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers (if necessary), changes of clothes, and formula/BM. They provide blankets, bibs, and toys. It makes it easier to keep track of what belongs to who.

Also, if you are a FF, ask if the bottles need to be pre-made and labeled (time made, oz, etc) or if they will make them there.

This also. DD had a rude awakening when she went to DC because they aren't allowed to swaddle. They actually aren't allowed to do anything that restricts LO from moving freely (swing, bouncer, etc) for more than 20 min.

My baby goes to a home daycare, so I don't know if it's different for each place. I actually didn't cry because I know the assistants and owner personally, so I felt comfortable.

Spare clothes (short and long sleeve shirt. pants. summer one piece for hot days)

2 toys

Pacifier

Extra 4oz & 9oz bottle and nipple (they don't wash bottles)

Blanket

Diapers

Burp cloth

Lotion (eczema)

Plastic bag for dirty things
