4 month sleep regression or problem rolling around in the crib

I am going on 2 weeks now of my LO not being able to adjust around 4am. She has been STTN since 7 weeks, so this is a huge change for us. Not sure if its the 4 month sleep regression i have read about or about her learning how to use her body. she can roll from back to belly perfectly now. but really maybe 1x a day rolls from belly to back by accident.how long did this take for anyone else that went thru it?

Re: 4 month sleep regression or problem rolling around in the crib

  • We are in the middle of 4MW/growth spurt/teething.....it is awful! DD was up every hour and a half last night. Is your LO hungry, or just having a hard time settling back down? DD was waking and needed help settling a few weeks ago, we wouldn't go in unless she started really crying and she usually got herself resettled. Now she can't resettle and is taking a full feeding so there is something else going on. I think their sleep patterns kind of go bonkers around this time, but hopefully it doesn't get that bad for you!

  • And this is week 3 for us. Hopefully we both get some sleep soon!

  • no she is def not hungry. she stopped eating during the night at 7weeks!! We havent taken her out of the crib.. just always soothe her and it works sometimes for the rest of the morning and then sometimes for like 30 min until she rolls back over onto her belly and wants to roll back but cant do anything but the mini pushup. Tomorrow begins week 3 for us too. I am dying!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No advice, sorry.  Just want you to know I am around week 3 of the exact same thing too.

It is tough, because not only do I feel weird about letting her cry it out, letting her cry it out causes me to lose significantly more sleep than just giving in and picking her up and feeding her *slaps my own hand for being bad*.

DD rolls and gets stuck on her stomach.  She will sometimes settle down, but if she doesn't, I try to roll her back onto her back and she IMMEDIATELY rolls herself to her stomach and gets all riled up again.

I hope someone will post on here that it doesn't last forever.  Did you try posting on 3-6 months?
