Special Needs

FB Group

I really enjoy my FB adoption group and I was curious if you all could recommend and possibly invite me into?

Our issues are speech delay and we are in the middle of getting a diagnosis and going to speech and OT twice a week.

Thank you!

Re: FB Group

  • I do not believe we have a facebook group for this board.

  • Are there other groups that you guys find helpful amd supportive? I'm just feeling alone in this battle

  • There is no SN Facebook group. SAIF has one for their kids going through therapies. I am not a member of that. I don't want to mix The Bump and Facebook anyway.

I have found private Facebook groups for Nate's diagnosis helpful. The only thing "private" about the groups is that your posts will not show up in your News Feed. They don't have any sort of application process. I also get emails from and old email group based on his diagnosis.

I bet if you search around on Facebook for groups you may find one that will fit. I would even ask to join private ones since they may just be private for the reasons I stated above. Good Luck!

  • i have found mommies of miracles helpful on facebook.  i'd also recommend the feeding tube awareness page as well as the medical supplies exchange to anyone who'd find them helpful.
  • We belong to a couple spina bifida and tethered cord support groups..and a neurogenic bladder group those are VERY HELPFUL, and I also am a member,

Otherwise, the easiest way may be to google what you are looking for support for, if the group is private/closed they can also make it so its not searchable.
