...care to commiserate about not-yet-mobile babies and the frustration they are dealing with? DS is seriously MAD that he can't crawl. Sitting up is soooo last week Arrrgh, he is so unhappy and bringing me down with him!

have you tried a bouncer or walker? My lo HATES lying down. His swing was so last week. He will play in the exasaucer but really LOVES his walker. He follows the dogs around. It really is the cutest thing to watch him scoot over to the dogs.
That whole 15 pounds get heavy to carry around all the time!
Ugh, yes. I will sit DS on the floor and he will immediately go onto his belly, try to crawl, scoot around in a circle, and whine. Sit him back up, rinse and repeat. It never ends.
I am in no hurry for the challenges that come with him getting mobile, but I am not sure which is worse. I kind of hope he figures it out soon.

This sounds like our house.
That said: 6 months is early for crawling, so I'm not surprised she's not doing it yet.
My LO too.. She gets up on all fours and sits there rocking and rocking and then she launches forward and flops on her belly.. at which point she cries. But she gets over it pretty quick and tries again. I don't think crawling is going to be very far away! Yesterday she went from sitting to a crawling position..so that was exciting too..
DD is 8.5 months old and isn't moving around yet. She's getting significantly stronger but hasn't really seemed interested in crawling. She does seem frustrated at times on the floor and doesn't like just laying around or being on her belly without moving around. So it's hard but I'm confident she'll get it soon enough. Some babies never crawl so I try to remember every baby is different.
