Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Your LO's favorite Toy?

I think this is hilarious especially for a FTM, like myself, who thinks that we need to get every toy for our toddler.  Anyhow, my almost 18-month-old DS LOVES, LOVES his inflatable beach ball, which I bought at "Five-Below" for only $1 this summer.  He actually has two of them.  Seriously, this is his favorite toy by far... plays with those balls every single day.  I actually feel like purchasing beach balls as Christmas presents for all my friend's and family's lil ones LOL

So what is your LO's favorite toy right now?

Re: Your LO's favorite Toy?

  • Blankets. She tosses them over her head then walks around the house giggling like crazy while she runs into furniture and walls and people. Even better if someone repeats, "Oh DD2, where arrrrre you!" over and over :)

  • What my 13.5 month old son loves:

    1) His "lovey" - little blanket friend he takes to bed

    2) Books, books, books and more books.  He is obsessed with ALL books!

    3) Our television remotes - plays with them CONSTANTLY every day - lol

    4) The klennex box or wipes

    5) His toy animals (small stuffed animals of jungle animals and farm animals)

    6) Blocks - mostly he carries one around in his mouth (wooden and mega blocks)

    7) Magnets - I've had to find large ones for the fridge (even though I hate things on my fridge) because he loves them

    and last but not least

    8) Our minature dacshund - he thinks he is endless entertianment.

  • Anything that is not an actual toddler toy.

I didn't even bother buying her anything for her birthday.  She is so unimpressed with toys, but could play with an empty water bottle or kleenex box for hours.  She also is surrounded by toys at DC though, maybe that's why she has zero interest in them at home.

  • LOL... it's amazing what actually catches a toddler's attention.  Mine is also interested in empty water bottles, empty kleenex boxes (or full), loves toilet paper, and we have to hide the remote control from him or he will purchase "On demand" videos LMAO!!!!
  • Anything that we stack up so he can knock it down - blocks, books, you name it.

  • DD loves a loves her stuffed doll and rabbit but doesn't necessarily play with them. They are more like lovies. She loves her Little tikes car. She sometimes 'drives' it but usually likes to push it around more. She loves books and her tea set too. Where she learned, I will never know, but she loves to actually play tea party (sharing invisible tea) with me. She also loves to play with the hose outside and her tree swing. She's a huge fan of books too.

  • DS loves kitchen utensils, especially the mushroom brush.  He spends endless time taking it in/out of the box.  Then there is a vacuum attachment that he walks around with- funny since he doesn't like the vacuum and I do it when he's napping.

He also loves Dada's belt.  The minute DH comes home, he's reaching up for it.  Oddly cute.

The best part is that toys are mostly undisturbed in their place!  My house stays much neater.
