Diaper rash remedies?

Other than the obvious (Desitin), what are some other things I can do to help heal diaper rash? Would more baths help? Or letting her 'air out' without a diaper for a while? It's not terrible, but it's the worst it's been so far :(

    Bordox butt paste is the best so much better than any other diaper cream. Airing out is by far the best, also finding out what's causing it is important.

    I don't know if you can find it in the states but here in Canada the best is Sudocrem. Also, I do a half our of "naked baby time" every night before her bath and DD hasn't had a bad rash yet. Any rash at all has cleared up over nit using the Sudocrem.

    My poor baby had a bad diaper rash after we got home from the hospital. Nothing was working, Desitin, A&D, Butt Paste, Balmex. Then we tried Triple Paste and that cleared it up. We also rinsed him off with water instead of wiping and made sure his booty was bone dry before we put the diaper cream on.

    We just had to see the doc for diaper rash. DD had diarrhea for 3 days and her poor bottom was so red. I got 2 sets of advice and went with my friends over the doc. I will list them both....

     

    Pedi- buy a liquid antacid and rub it on LO's dry bottom. Once that dries, put butt paste over that. Give LO as much air out time as possible. Just keep doing this until it goes away.

     

    Friend- go buy Aquaphor in a tub(its not cheap) slather all over LO's bottom after every diaper change. Rinse out and ring out baby wipes. You could use wash clothes but this is easier. After 2 days of this, you would never know DD ever had a bad diaper rash. And she is not screaming every time she pee's or poops! Aquaphor is wonderful!

    This. But if you are having a lot of diaper rash I would try a different brand of diapers or watch what you eat. When I cut diary out, diaper rash went away. Also, only use cream if there is a problem. Putting cream on overnight etc. when there is not an issue tends to cause more rashes.

    Changing diapers worked best for us, but also helpful was A&D ointment.
