Pregnant after 35

36 and pregnant yikes

Hello ladies, i just found out last friday that i am pregnant. I am 36, have two girls, 17 13 and found out recently that i have fatty liver and adenomyomatosis of gallbladder, an alleged benign condition but removal of gallbladder is recommended. So, i am worried......i hope my pregnancy will run smoothly. Has anyone else experienced this while pregnant????
Anyhow i am only about 4 weeks along so please wish mee luck! Congrats to all you expectant mommies ;

  • Congrats! Have no idea how your pregnancy may affect your condition. I would talk with your doc and see what is recommended.

    Well, that dodgy gall bladder might just go from 'recommended' to 'required' removal over the next 9 months, as pregnancies are known to be hard on that silly little organ! It is common and doctors are good at handling it. Try not to worry too much.

    Congratulations and welcome to the board!

    Gallbladders and PG are not the best of friends but at least now adays it's a super simple procedure to remove it if that happens to become necessary.  As for the fatty liver, a large portion of society is also walking around with one so you're not alone in that aspect.

  • Congrats! Being 36 is not a big deal--you are a young'un on this board! I have no idea about your gallbladder but it looks like the other posters here have some good info. And of course be sure to ask your doctor about it. I'm sure he/she will monitor it.

    Welcome! nbsp;I understand your stance on "getting used to the idea". nbsp;I have an almost 17 next month and 13 year old daughters. nbsp;We were totally floored to find out about this surprise. nbsp;Hardest part for me adjusting to it is the fact that I feel so sick all of the time that it's hard to get excited. nbsp;Good luck during this adjustment phase!nbsp;

    Congratulations!!! We are in the same boat, lol.
