Anyone else having issues with Velcro shoes and your child taking them off?? My DD will not keep velcro shoes on at all. It was fine in the summer but now with the cooler weather I want her wearing shoes to daycare. Anyone have a shoe they love that is a lace up?

Re: Velcro Shoes a No
Not velcro shoes, but velcro cloth diapers. It's sitting in the middle of the hallway as I type this because he just took it off mid stride and kept going into his brother's room to play.
It's a new skill, so I'm not going to tell him No!, but I have already put it back on 3 times this morning.
DS can take them off, but doesn't. Sometimes I don't put them on until we arrive at our destination, and then I often take them off before we drive home in case he falls asleep and I need to put him in his crib.
DS just outgrew a pair of Stride Rite tennis shoes that were lace-up, but he could get those off, too, especially if I forgot to use a double knot/bow. I believe I saw some at BRU when I was there the other day - white athletic shoes with laces. They were boy shoes, though, and not very exciting.
This just made me laugh out loud! At least I'm only dealing with shoes! She's started undoing her diapers but at least I can just put a onesie over her which she cannot unstrap yet.
NUDIE RUN!!!
Thats cute, inconvenient for you, but cute.
DD will also take off velcro summer sandals that slip off and on easily. But we have velcro sneakers from Stride Rite and they are a snug fit. She cannot get them off of her feet, even though she does play with the velcro.
Velcro diapers...yeah...that's also been an issue here! It is the first week that it is cool enough to have windows open without the AC on. So naturally, the first time she ever takes a nap in just her diaper, I found her running around nude in her crib with the diaper off and a big pee stain in her bed. Won't make that mistake again!
