LoL. That could be true. It just happened on another site I was on, we started a FB page and now the majority of us don't post on the original website. Then the crazies came out and some of us split off to another group.... Yup yup. You're probably right

Which inevitably happens and it happens quickly. I'll join a FB group when I'm comfortable with strangers knowing my real name and where I work. Be smart about this ladies.

I'm confused and mean no snark with this question. You very rarely post here, but want to be FB friends with everyone and chat online all the time? You can do that here, ya know - without everyone having to give you access to their personal information.

This exactly. I come on the bump to chat and ask questions without people knowing my personal/family life...even with restricted FB settings, I think it shows too much. (I could be paranoid!)

Maybe the groups i'm apart of aren't the norm but there aren't any crazies in them or drama. I personally don't want to join anymore FB groups but obviously there is a want or need for it since it seems like every week another bumpie is asking to join. If you aren't comfortable joining don't. But I personally don't see the point in continually warning ppl against them every time someone asks. We are all adults...hopefully. So if you don't have any sense of internet safety by now then warning them isn't going to help.

I agree i think it's "strange" I'm not a crazy poster either but I read and hang around enough to know who is who and I don''t know who she is. I wouldn't do it but to each its own.

This happened on PgAL back when I was pregnant with DS. Turns out there was a crazy who was pretending to be a man with twins. "He" was actually a she with mental issues. No kids, no loss, just crazy pants. It took a few months for the crazypants to show. Then he/she started posting people's home addresses on TB with their last names. I don't want a crazy person (who was stealing pictures from people of their kids) having access to my FB.

That's exactly why I changed my SN. It had way too much information. No way I will join a fb group after that.

I think this is normally how these kind of groups work. Haha. That being said, FB is much easier to access from a phone, so many people want to move to that format all together and leave the bump board behind.
