I posted on here months ago about being torn about whether I wanted to attempt a VBAC or not (I had a c/s the first time for failure to progress and fetal distress after 30 hours of labor). At about 32 weeks, I just made the decision for a repeat c/s. I can't really tell you what helped me make my decision....but I just felt at peace.
Fast forward to 39 weeks. On 8/31, I went in for my repeat c/s. It was the most positive, calm, and enjoyable experience. It was so different from my son. I was able to put her skin to skin while I was still on the OR table. She was born at 3:58pm and I was breastfeeding her by 4:40.
I just wanted to share my story for those who are on the fence like I was. I'm not saying you should opt for one method or another...I'm just sharing that you may just figure out what is best for you on your own.
My recovery has been great too. It is such a wonderful feeling to look back and have zero regret.
