I am a plus size mama with a large chest and I need to know if any of you know which carrier would be best the Ergo or the Beco or if you have another one let me know. Thanks
I am 5'11" and 195 lbs (38 DDD), and I use the Ergo with no issues. There is still room in waist and chest. I love my Ergo. A moby wrap is an inexpensive but wonderful investment as well.
I would try to find a babywearing group or retailer near you that has carriers you can try on to see what works best for you. Not sure how big/old your LO is but we have mamas in our group who are plus sized who have liked the Ergo (the Performance and Sport have longer waist straps I believe), Boba, and Babyhawk Oh Snap (we don't have Beco). Action Baby Carrier makes a plus size waist as another option (it's my favorite SSC out of all of these). A mei tai can be a nice option as well that works for all body types because you just tie it on so it's always a perfect fit!
the new beco has a HUGE waistband. I had one from a few years ago and i had the waistband as big as it would go. i got a new one and a gemini and the waistband is huge!!!
i probably have an extra 8 inches and it fit when i was 20 w pregnant.
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
