I try to pull her up from the laying down position to the sitting position a few times a day and I also sit her inbetween my legs and let her play.
So far, she hates sitting.
Anything else I should be doing?
I don't really care when she sits but I'm trying to help her along if I can.
Re: And a follow up question... what can I do to encourage sitting?
Love the siggy!
The silly selfish reason I can't wait for sitting to begin is because I want to take cute sitting photos of her. I have so many laying down photos! Okay, I'm nuts. Take your time little baby.
off topic - I LOVE YOUR NEW PICTURE! Edie looks hilarious!!! And Adeline is looking at her like wtf.
I mainly just pull her from the laying position to the sitting position and then into a standing position while she holds on my my fingers. Her favorite is the standing position but as she gets better at sitting she likes it a bit more.
She also really likes to sit on my lap while I read books, she tries to reach forward towards the books so I think that helps with upper body strength, maybe?
This is true for us, also. She can sit for about 15-20sec on her own now, but that has happened very quickly!
