DD dropped all naps at age 3, and now she's almost 4. She sleeps 10 hours at night, from 8 p.m. usually until 6 a.m. But sometimes, she'll thrown in a night where she doesn't fall asleep until close to 9, and she still gets up between 5:30 - 6:00 a.m. Just trying to regain at least one full hour of sleep for the entire household in the morning:) She has a good sleep routine - a bath on most nights, followed by reading books in her bedroom and lights out. I would just think a highly energetic kid like her needs more than 9 hours of sleep!!!
Re: How much sleep does your 3-4 year old get?
My little guy will be 4 in January.
He sleeps 10ish hours per night and naps weekdays at daycare 1-2 hours. Only naps on weekends if we are in the car in the afternoon.
He needs less sleep than his older brother, IMO. But he expends his energy (physical, mental, emotional) differently/more conservatively than his brother too.
On a normal night, he sleeps from 8pm to 7 or 7:15am. So 11 hours or a little more.
Sometimes he sleeps from right after 8pm until 7:45 am! We see better behavior on days he has had 11.5 hours or so.
He does have days he only sleeps from 8pm to 6am.....that used to pretty normal for us. And I'm so glad that something clicked and he started making it until at least 7am most mornings.
DD will be 4 next week. She sleeps 10.5-11 hours/night. She goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 and I wake her up at 6:45 to get ready and take DS to school. She does not nap at all.
