Postpartum Depression

Medication adjusted?

I've been on meds for my PPD since my son was a month old. Thank God his pediatrician's office screened me.

Things were going sooooo much better these last 3 months....until this past week. I'm having trouble sleeping again, I'm getting weeper with each passing day, and I'm getting short with my oldest again though none of these are as severe as they were initially.

Can you become "use" to your medication? Could my dosage need increased? Could it be something else? I have to return to work in a month and I'm not looking forward to it so maybe that's part of it? Or maybe my mood is affecting my outlook on work?

Has anyone needed their medication adjusted/increased? I'm on 150mg per day of Wellbutrin

Re: Medication adjusted?

  • I've been on meds for 3 weeks and I call on Mon to see if they should be upped. They could need to be adjusted. I'd call your dr and let them know whats going on and your symptoms.

  • I started on Wellbutrin sr. That didn't work so I was put on 150mg Wellbutrin XL and 25mg of Zoloft. I feel a million times better, normal. Call your doctor. My OB referred me to a psychiatrist when the SR didn't work. Maybe that's a good option for you, hope you get some answers soon!
