I just came back from my doctor's apt. I went to get my lungs checked after having pnuemonia last month and my doctor asked if I was pregnant before she prescribed a high dose inhaler. I said no, but couldn't remember my exact LMP. So she hands me a cup, I brought it back and nearly fell off my chair when she said, "Congratulations! It's positive!!!"
I'm on/was on Micronor. I took it religiously. I am sitting here trying to wrap my brain around how I went in to treat a persistent cough and came out with positive pregnancy test. (I get the mechanics of how it happened, I just can't figure out the chances of it happening.)
I'm in shock. DH is in shock. We were one and done, but I guess we are not now. I don't even know how I feel yet, it's just so unexpected. I'm going to stop rambling now. I figured I'd at least type an intro while I try to wrap my head around the surprise.
Re: Intro and Holy freaking surprise BFP
Congrats what a shock!
Where you on antibiotics for the pnuemonia? I know several people who only took antibiotics for a few days and got pregnant during that time while still on birth control, based on what I've seen it's really true when they tell you antibiotics make birth control pills less effective!

This really is true about antibiotics being well known for decreasing the effectiveness of BCP and not just the time that you're on them there's a window that they're less effective after you're done taking them that they rec you take extra precautions...
Thanks!
I wasn't on antibiotics. That's the weird thing.
