Hi ladies!! So it's been forever since I've posted anything to my blog, so I just published a big update on our cleft journey. Sorry it's not clicky, but here's a link:

And here's a brief recap: We narrowly avoided a NICU stay after Hughitt's birth b/c he was losing weight so rapidly. But he came through like a champ on the third night and has been eating like a mad man ever since. We had his first cranofacial team visit last week and the doctors were all thrilled by how great he's doing with his special needs bottle. He'll get his orthodontic device put in on Thursday and he'll have to wear it until he's ready for his first reconstruction in a couple months. He's doing just fantastic and we couldn't be more in love. I honestly don't even see his cleft anymore and I know I'll be weirdly upset when it's gone - it's absolutely become a part of him.
Thanks ladies for all your continued support!!!!
Re: Hughitt's Cleft Update
It's great that you are all doing so well! It will be a long journey but you can do it.
I don't know if your family is into volunteering or activism but my high school chemistry teacher was born with a cleft lip and palate and he has become really involved with Project Smile. He really likes helping kids who were born like him.
