Wasn't the plan to do it for three month periods? There are so many new loss mommies that could probably benefit from the support. I am horrible at organizing, but will do it if you want. OR do you want to just stick with current angel buddies and do an ornament exchange for the holidays? OR do both?
For our new loss mommies, angel buddies are just another loss mom that you can exchange information with so that you always have someone to turn to. We like to send each other cards and little gifts too, but you don't have to do that.
Re: Angel buddies time?
Ticker warning....
I am SOOO sorry. I was in charge last time and was supposed to set it up again mid/end of July. I have just been really busy lately. Though that's not a good excuse. If you would like me to organize it again I can, otherwise it may be a good idea for someone who frequents this board more often than I to be in charge. But I really don't mind setting it up if nobody else is up to it. It really is a great thing to do, and it helped me so much having people from this board that I have become so much closer to.
:
To all of you newbies on the board:
Angel buddies is where you are partnered up with another angel mamma for about 3 months (give or take) and you get to know your partner during that duration. You can chat via pm's on here, e-mail, text, phone calls, and even send the occasional cards and small gifts. It's a really great way to get to know someone in a similar position to you. I have made a few closer friends this way and it's always nice knowing there is someone I can text who will understand what I am feeling. It IS a commitment though and I know more than one mamma who has been disappointed with being partnered up with someone who never got in touch. So if you do decide to join, please make sure you are ready to make the 3 month commitment.
As for the ornament exchange, I also did that last year and I personally feel that it should be a separate sign-up. It's so nice getting an ornament for your angel baby from someone and for those who don't want to participate in something for 3 months can sign up for the one time ornament exchange...
