PP body woes

The babies will be 5 months next week.... my hair is falling out by the handfuls. I clean it out of the shower drain every morning, pull it out of the babies hands, have even found a few strands tucked into diapers! Ugh.

Plus my hips/groin area are still hurting so badly when I wake up in the morning. I'm sure its from everything trying to tighten back up and get back into place, but ouch!

I can't remember how long it took with my first son for these things to stop... anyone have an estimate? I'm especially hoping my hips get back into place soon b/c my maternity pants are getting all ratted out. I'm below prepregnancy weight but my regular jeans are still so uncomfortable.

TIA!

Re: PP body woes

  • Right there with ya...my hair loss is insane! It seems to have started to slow down, but I have no idea what is normal.

I am still holding onto about 10 pounds but finally saw the scale move down once I stopped bf'ing.  I am really frustrated because I have had no time to workout in the past month with our nanny debacle. Hoping we can get the new daycare routine down so I can find some time.

I noticed some of my pants are starting to fit better in the waist, but I am still a long ways from where I was when I got pregnant. :(

  • ugh...the post pregnancy body....as if we don't have enough to deal with! Although to give you some hope I felt around 6 months like I was stuck and just in the last few weeks I've noticed some more changes in my body and can comfortably wear most of my pre-preg clothes...it will get better in time! I hear the golden rule is give yourself a year!
  • I wound up buying bigger pants as I just don't have time to exercise yet. My hair falling out has finally slowed down, thankfully. I'm hoping with the weather cooling down I can go for walks with the boys soon.
