Hi, my 13 month old is not the best sleeper. He's always been a light sleeper and we had a hard time sleep training. I found that he sleeps better with the sound of the AC. It muffles any noise we make. it is good white noise for him. Now that the nights have been cooler I just run it on fan mode. I don't know what to do when it'll be too cold to run the the AC even just fan mode. I've tried having him sleep without any white noise during naps and I find that even the dog barking will wake him up. Any suggestions? TIA.

When we are at someone else's house and it's time for a nap we us a white noise app we downloaded on our IPad and IPhones called White Noise Pro. DD slept over my parent's house last night and we just unplugged the sound machine from her nursery and took it with us lol.
We just bought 1 baby white noise song off iTunes for $0.99 (the 'real fan noise' was the most consistent sounding) and used that on our ancient ipod we don't use anymore in an ipod alarm clock in her room. When we traveled, we used the free app mentioned above.
But we actually just quit using white noise. She spent a week at our in-laws while we were in Europe last month and didn't have a noise machine there. We haven't used it since we've been back and she's been fine. I'll probably only use it if we have friends over for dinner late/after she's in bed to drown out our noise.
