How long after you felt your contractions 5 minutes apart, were you ready yo push?

    I think I got to push 10 hours later, but I'm the exception rather than the rule.

  • Once I got into active labor and reached 10 cm DD was out in less than half an hr.

  • I never felt contractions 5 minutes apart.  Always 3 minutes or less, even from the beginning.

    I was ready to push when the contractions were on top of each other.

    promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
  • My case might be unusual. I skipped the 511  phase all together. By the time I got to the hospital I was ready to go. All in all it took me 4 hours from start of labor to pushing.

    It could be a while or not. There is no way for us to tell you. Good luck.

  • Oh goodness, I went to the hopsital when they were 5 minutes apart, at about 2:30 a.m. and DD was born at 1:47 p.m. the next day.  I only pushed for about 15 minutes, so about 11 hours.
