DH gets a point and loses one today.

No real point to this post but today was a very nice day. DH let me sleep in until almost 10 am, made O eggs for breakfast, and got her dressed and almost all ready to go shopping before waking me up.So he gets a point yay!  Yes

But he also lost a point because he didn't get the cabinet locks installed like he promised. He has sworn to me he would instal them for the last 4 weekends or so grrrrr. I told him he HAS to do it next weekend and he cannot tell me on Saturday that he "promises" to do it Sunday because I know he will just spend it watching football. *sigh*

    I think guys are just programmed to shoot themselves in the foot.  DH did something very similar this weekend.  At least he knew he was wrong when I called him on it, that wasn't the case a few years ago.

    Yes agree. He swore up and down he was gonna do it today to but that darn Giants game was so close and so great that even after it was over he had to watch replays and junk online and when I asked him later if he had done it he looked at me with that "Oh $hi7 I forgot look" on his face.

    I really hope he does it sometime during the week cause we are having his birthday party next Saturday evening so I have a feeling he will not want to do it on Saturday.

    Anytime I want my H to do something, I start the process myself. I usually screw it up or have a struggle doing so and he jumps in to finish before I do anymore damage. Might be worth a shot ;]

    LoL! I like the comment about guys being programmed to shoot themselves in the foot. I had started a load of laundry and intended to finish it in the morning so I could see if the stains came out of LO's clothes or if I would need to wash them again... And to dig out the clothes I didn't want to dry... DH took it upon himself to throw everything in the dryer. Sigh. Stick out tongue  So he got a "Thanks hun, but...." It seems like when he actually does try and help is when I don't want him to. Stick out tongue

    DH got a point Friday night, and lost it before he even woke up Saturday morning.  He wanted to stay up to watch 1 more episode of Friday Night Lights.  Sure, but it's getting too late and I had a really rough day on Friday.  He promised to get up with Ty in the morning.  Well, he got up, brought him in to bed with us and after 30 minutes I gave up.  DH then proceeds to go back to bed until 11!!!

    Do them yourself.  That way, you feel better that your LO is safe and the fact that you took care of it will make a point to DH about how important they are.

    This is exactly what happens in our house and then DH says "I can't do anything right" in a whiny, pissed off voice.
